protectyoufromthestorm asked: My friends' band were in the same studio when Architects were recording their new album and they even said they didn't even like the here and now, apparently the person producing it didn't get them or something.
Yeah they’re recording the new album at Outhouse in Reading where they recorded Hollow Crown. I don’t like the stuff Outhouse produce because it sounds all a bit samey. But even interviews with Architects, I remember one where they asked Sam and Tom ‘Why do you think some people have thought your new album isn’t as good?’ and Sam replied ‘because they’re fucking idiots’ and it’s true.

I don’t know why this album got so much hate. I think it showed how they were progressing musically and it was actually musically better than hollow crown. I don’t know the ins and outs of it but if the reaction to this album is what’s turned them back to ridiculously heavy architects then I feel sorry for them because I see that as a regression.
